St Aidan’s Church of England High School

Safeguarding Officer

37 hours per week, term time only

Actual Pay: £19,311 – £21,321

Salary Grade G Points 13-18 (FTE range): £22,627- £24,982

5 days per week essential – part-time hours will be considered.

We are looking for a highly capable and trustworthy individual to develop this new role within St. Aidan’s Church of England High School.  Reporting to the Deputy Headteacher (Safeguarding) and Assistant Headteacher (Inclusion and SEND) you will have the skills and competence to handle a wide-ranging and sensitive workload.

Passionate about the safeguarding and welfare of the young people in our care, you will support pastoral staff in the monitoring and tracking of vulnerable, EHCP and Pupil Premium children throughout the school day.  You will raise any concerns about unusual absence or punctuality patterns to Heads of Year through regular meetings.

With an eye for detail, you will ensure that Pupil Premium and Safeguarding records are accurate and kept up to date for children joining or leaving the school roll.  You will be highly confident with IT and able to produce attendance, behavioural and other reports as appropriate, using school databases.

You will complete referral paperwork and manage the suspension/exclusion process, creating letters and producing analysis as appropriate.  Communicating effectively with external agencies will be of paramount importance in this Safeguarding Officer role.

You will be willing to uphold the values of the School and respect the highly sensitive and confidential nature of the post.  Previous office experience, a strong work ethic and having the ability to remain calm, will all be essential qualities in this varied position.

Midday Supervisory Assistant – Relief/Supply Cover

We are looking for a Midday Supervisory Assistant to work as part of a team monitoring pupil behaviour during the midday break to ensure a caring and safe environment.

Required to work indoors and outdoors when supervising the children and young people to ensure their safety.
