Assistant Site Supervisor

37 hours per week – Grade C £18,198 – full year working

Variable shift pattern on a weekly rota basis, between the hours of  6.30am (earliest start) and 9.30pm (latest finish)

We are looking for a self-motivated Assistant Site Supervisor to work as part of an established and successful Facilities Team alongside the Site Supervisor, to ensure that the whole school site is a well maintained, safe, and clean environment for staff and students alike.

The post holder will support the whole Facilities Team in the smooth running of the school premises, so that they meet the needs of students, staff and external lettings, whilst also guaranteeing that Trust/School policies and procedures, legislation and statutory requirements are adhered to.

The successful candidate will be trusted with keyholding responsibility, opening or closing the site, mornings or evenings respectively, on a rota basis.

Duties will include setting up rooms for internal and external events, porterage of deliveries around the site, assisting with and undertaking maintenance tasks, accompanying contractors, carrying out visual inspections and keeping accurate records, site cleanliness including rubbish collection and litter picking.

You will participate in scheduled monitoring and testing in respect of legionella, asbestos, fire alarms, emergency lighting and portable appliances.  You will also learn to operate and respond to the fire alarm systems and supervise external contractors on site. Full training will be provided.

During school holidays you will assist with painting, decorating and maintenance projects so school premises are always fit for purpose.
