We are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in our highly valued Learning Support Department.
This is an extremely varied role assisting those students with Special Educational Needs. Under the guidance of the Head of Learning Support, and the classroom teachers, you will be providing support for children with a variety of educational needs, enabling all of our students to thrive, both within, and outside of, the classroom.
Work will vary, enabling access to the curriculum within the classroom to students with SEND. Liaising with class teachers to support the management of pupil behaviour in lessons will also be of paramount importance.
We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school, facilitating learning through excellent teaching and support, and promoting a whole-child approach in terms of social and emotional development. You will be involved in supporting individuals in classroom activities, on educational visits, and with IT, using specialist learning aids and physical equipment as appropriate.
Working with the Head of Learning Support and the teaching staff, you will contribute to annual review meetings, and liaise with relevant agencies and parents in a mutually beneficial and professional manner.
You will use your initiative, responding to situations as they arise, using your skills and experience to bring the very best out of our students with special educational needs. You will likely be required to cover some lunch duties (with additional pay) or given alternative time to cover break duties on a rota basis.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual to work as part of an established and successful Facilities team alongside the Site Supervisor and Facilities Manager. The Facilities team ensures the smooth and safe running of the school premises so that they meet the needs of students, staff and external lettings, whilst also guaranteeing that Trust/School policies and procedures, legislation and statutory requirements are adhered to.
The successful candidate will be trusted with keyholding responsibility, opening or closing the site, mornings or evenings respectively, on a rota basis.
Duties will include setting up rooms for internal and external events, assisting with scheduled maintenance tasks, accompanying contractors, carrying out visual inspections and keeping accurate records, site cleanliness; including rubbish collection and litter picking, managing deliveries around the site and responding to problems that arise.
You will learn about and participate in scheduled monitoring and testing in respect of Legionella, Asbestos, fire alarms, emergency lighting and portable appliances. You will also learn to operate and respond to the fire alarm systems. Full training will be provided.

Required from 1st September 2021, a highly motivated, fun and inspiring General Teaching Assistant/Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our hard-working team.
You will nurture, challenge and motivate pupils, whist implementing clear boundaries and routines. HLTA status is desirable, but not essential, as this qualification can be completed while in post. You will work alongside experienced class teachers as well as independently to deliver high quality lessons following our school curriculum. There is a planning expectation for this position but learning objectives will be guided by class teachers. PPA time will be given each week in order to fulfil planning expectation responsibilities.
