Set in the North Yorkshire town of Harrogate, St Aidan’s Church of England High School is a mixed secondary school with a thriving community of nearly 2000 students aged 11-19. About the role

Whilst the Headteacher will continue to have overall strategy and statutory responsibility for the School, the appointed candidate will contribute significantly to the strategic management and operational activity of the School. The successful candidate will deputise for the Headteacher as required and will undertake an active and key role in the ongoing development of the School’s part in the Associated Sixth Form, Yorkshire Causeway Schools Trust and the Yorkshire Teaching School Alliance

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work within our very busy Cleaning Team at St. Aidan’s Church of England High School, part of the Yorkshire Causeway School Trust.
You will be responsible for a wide range of cleaning duties, ensuring that areas of work allocated are cleaned to the required specification. The successful applicant will have excellent attention to detail, good organisational skills and work well as part of a team. Previous cleaning experience is not required. Economics and Business are amongst our most popular advanced level subjects with large numbers choosing to study one or both subjects. Managing our prestigious Art department you will provide an environment which nurtures and actively encourages creativity and talent within pupils of all abilities. The provision for the subject is excellent, with specialist rooms in our dedicated Art block, specialist Art IT suites, studio facilities and technician support.
The importance of Art subjects at St. Aidan’s is demonstrated by the number of students who choose to continue with Art-related subjects at KS4 and KS5. With 90 students enrolled on the GCSE Fine Art and Art Graphics courses, and over 100 studying Fine Art, Art Graphics and Photography to A Level, it is clearly a popular choice for students.
There are 1,970 students on roll with nearly 1000 students in the Associated Sixth Form with St John Fisher Catholic High School. The successful candidate must be able to offer teaching of Art and Art Graphics up to Advanced Level and wish to make a contribution to the wider life of the school.

The school requires a PE Technician/Cover Supervisor to support, as a Technician, its large PE department providing a range of practical, technical and administrative duties and as a Cover Supervisor to deliver lessons primarily in Boys PE but also in other departments, that have been set by absent teaching staff for a variety of year groups.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible, an excellent communicator and able to work independently. A teaching qualification is not required for this post but previous experience within education and a knowledge and interest in PE would be an advantage.
