We are looking for a self-motivated and effective individual to lead our highly valued Facilities team at St. Aidan’s Church of England High School, in the beautiful spa town of Harrogate.   We are as proud of our strong academic achievements as we are of our pastoral approach, where every individual is highly valued, and professional, effective relationships are key.

Working closely with the Lettings and Finance Administrator, you will have responsibility for the co-ordination of internal and external bookings, caretaking, maintenance and servicing at St Aidan’s.  You will also liaise with and manage external contractors for maintenance and repairs.  You will manage the site premises, to include the newly built 3G pitch and facilities within the school to ensure the needs of students, staff and external lettings are met whilst ensuring the Trust/School policies and procedures, legislation and statutory requirements are adhered to.  You will have a good understanding of Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations, and the ability to communicate these requirements effectively to your Team.  You will work collaboratively with the Trust’s Estates Manager and the St. Aidan’s Cleaning Manager in terms of site security and safety.

An integral and highly valued member of staff, you will be customer-centric and resourceful.  You will add value by your methodical yet creative approach to problem-solving, and in your capacity to deal with situations calmly and diplomatically, responding to change in a pragmatic way.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Medical Room Nurse. Working alongside our hard-working medical room colleagues you will provide excellent care to pupils and will contribute to the first aid provision across the St Aidan’s school community.

With a shared responsibility for the medical room, you will lead the First Aid team, which is part of the wider pastoral team within school.  The aim of this team is to promote the physical health and emotional wellbeing of all students. Our school Medical Room is open at all times during the school day and is a welcoming space offering medical support for students and staff.

This support is designed to meet a wide range of day-to-day needs. From responding to the physical concerns of pupils and the administration of first aid, to signposting pupils who might need psychological support, the role is varied but vital in our school community.

You will work with parents, carers, specialist health professionals and others to develop in school care plans, as well as use evidence-based practice to develop and maintain a high quality of nursing care to the pupils. You will have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly understand any issues and respond calmly and appropriately.

On occasion, you will be expected to work outside of normal school hours and will be required to attend some daytime and residential school trips.

The successful candidate will have a professional nursing qualification (RGN) or paramedic qualification (HCPC) plus ideally a minimum of 12 months experience, to include paediatric and young adult healthcare.

Kitchen Store Person

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and reliable Store Person to work in and around our busy school kitchens.

Taking delivery of, and manoeuvring food items is a significant element of the job, and therefore the ability to lift and carry heavy items is essential in this role.  You will also need to demonstrate that you can work as part of a team, or independently, taking initiative when appropriate and have the ability to keep calm under pressure.

You will be expected to perform some basic kitchen duties, i.e.: food preparation tasks and clearing waste food in a hygienic and ecological manner.  Maintaining the highest of Health, Safety and Hygiene standards is of paramount importance in this fast-paced and busy kitchen environment, and cleaning work areas will be a priority.

The selected candidate will have a flexible and adaptable approach in order to meet the changing nature of the work and the day to day demands of school life.  The role will also involve quality control, stock control and rotation management in order to achieve minimum food waste.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to work within our very busy and highly regarded Cleaning Team at Pannal Primary School, which is part of the Yorkshire Causeway School Trust.

You will be responsible for a wide range of cleaning duties, ensuring that areas of work allocated are cleaned to the required high standards and specifications.  The successful applicant will have excellent attention to detail, good organisational skills and work well as part of a team.  Previous cleaning experience is required.  Full training given and uniform provided.

We are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in our highly valued Learning Support Department.

This is an extremely varied role assisting those students with Special Educational Needs.  Under the guidance of the Head of Learning Support, and the Classroom Teachers, you will be providing support for children with a variety of educational needs, enabling all of our students to thrive, both within, and outside of, the classroom.

Work will vary, enabling access to the curriculum within the classroom to students with SEND. Liaising with class teachers to support the management of pupil behaviour in lessons will also be of paramount importance.

We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school, facilitating learning through excellent teaching and support, and promoting a whole-child approach in terms of social and emotional development.  You will be involved in supporting individuals in classroom activities, on educational visits, and with IT, using specialist learning aids and physical equipment as appropriate.

Working with the Head of Learning Support and the Teaching Staff, you will contribute to annual review meetings, and liaise with relevant agencies and parents in a mutually beneficial and professional manner.  You will use your initiative, responding to situations as they arise, using your skills and experience to bring the very best out of our students with special educational needs.  You will likely be required to cover some lunch duties (with additional pay) or given alternative time to cover break duties on a rota basis.
